SECTION 10: TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE T200 User's Manual
PAGE 10-11
10.4.4 Fault Type: F4 (PSU Heatsink Overtemperature) on 7-Segment Display
The F4 fault is displayed when the High Power PSU Heatsink Temperature is excessive. The T200 decelerates and
disables itself immediately when the fault occurs.
Table 9: Causes of F4 on 7-segment Display
Cause Check/[Correction]
Too Many T200-
X00's Connected
Too many T200-X00 (units without integral PSU) have been connected to the T200-X10
(unit with integral high power PSU).
[Install another T200-X10 to share the DC-Bus power generation load.]
Heatsink Fan Failure
One or more of the integral fans has failed. If possible to do safely, check that these fans
are circulating air. [If internal cooling fans have failed, return the unit to Moog].
The ambient temperature may be too high in the cabinet. [Check that the ambient
temperature does not exceed 55° C.]
10.4.5 Fault Type: F5 (Power Amplifier Over-temperature) on 7-segment Display
The F5 fault is displayed when the power amplifier heat-sink temperature is excessive. The T200 decelerates and
disables itself immediately when the fault occurs.
Table 10: Causes of F5 on 7-segment Display
Cause Check/[Correction]
Ambient
Temperature Too
High
The T200 is rated for a maximum ambient temperature of 55° C. The ambient temperature
may exceed that in certain cases. Measure the ambient temperature in the T200 cabinet
[Provide improved outside air circulation in the cabinet.]
Heatsink Fan Failure
One or more of the integral fans has failed. If possible to do safely, check that these fans
are circulating air.
[If internal cooling fans have failed, return the unit to Moog.]
Excessive Static
Load
The machine bearings or other parts may have become seized or severely worn. This can
cause extra friction or load torques.
[Check the freedom of rotation of the load, including bearing wearing and load alignment.]
Movement Duty
Cycle Excessive
The acceleration and deceleration of the movement, as well as the frequency of movement
may be excessive for the T200.
[Decrease the duty cycle, by reduction of the acceleration and deceleration, and/or the
frequency of the movement]
T200 Undersized
The T200 is not rated to handle the current duty cycle required by the application. Use the
?LMR Hand Held terminal command to measure the motor phase r.m.s. current. Check is
this very near the rating of the T200.
[Install a T200 with the correct current rating if this is available.]
