6 Pick up the new roll of ribbon.
• Locate the notch on the ribbon spool and the corresponding tab on
the feed spool.
Note: The feed spool is the one without holes on the big end.
7 Push the ribbon, notched end first, onto the feed spool.
• Align the notch and tab, then push the cardboard core until the ribbon
is fully in place against the wall of the feed spool.
8 With the wall of the feed spool to the right, snap the loaded feed spool
into the mounting tabs on the encoder frame.
• Make sure the feed spool fits between the two metal drag springs.
