9 Push the green print-head latch to the right, then lift it up slightly to
unlatch the print head.
10 Press down on the forward portion of the print head (closest to the track)
so that it points down at an angle.
11 Remove the adhesive tape from the outside of the new ribbon roll. SAVE
THIS PIECE OF TAPE.
12 Pull up on the end of the ribbon until you have unrolled all of the blue
portion (ribbon leader).
13 Place the end of the ribbon leader over the metering roll and on top of
the print head.
14 Push the leader forward over the print head with your fingers. As you
push the ribbon leader forward, wiggle it slightly from side to side to
keep it from getting caught. Be sure that the ribbon goes under the green
lower guide bar.
• Stop when you see the end of the ribbon leader appear under the new
ribbon roll.
