Time Slot Allocation for DTI Card
On each DTI card, the system recognizes the lowest and highest channel numbers to which trunk numbers
are assigned, and allocates time slots to all the channels between them. If trunk numbers are assigned to
nonconsecutive channels, the system also allocates time slots to channels not assigned.
For example, as shown below, when Channel 1 through Channel 10 have been assigned by system data
programming (CM07 Y=01) except Channel 5, the system allocates a total of 10 time slots for all ten chan-
nels. Therefore, to avoid allocation of unnecessary time slots, it is recommended that consecutive channels
be assigned on each DTI card.
