A-69 Automatic Idle Return
(Series 6200 software feature)
General Description
This feature enables a D
term
in HANDS-FREE operation to be automatically released when the D
term
receives Reorder Tone for a predetermined interval.
Operating Procedure
No manual operation is required.
Service Conditions
1. This service is available for Series 6200 software or later.
2. This service may be assigned on a station basis.
3. This service is not available when the station has a call placed on hold.
4. This service is activated when Reorder Tone is sent to a D
term
individually.
5. Release timer for this service can be set on a system basis.
6. When this service is effective, Reorder Tone is connected according to System Data 1, Index
401, Bits 0 through 3. When the data is set to 0, no tone is connected. For stations not allowed
this service, Reorder Tone is connected 30 seconds after.
7. OFF-HOOK ALARM [O-6] takes precedence over this service. However, when the station
designated as the transferred station for OFF-HOOK ALARM [O-6] is in lock-out or make-busy
state, this service is effective.
8. This service is not available for the station set to ATT CAMP-ON WITH TONE INDICATION [A-
1], CALL BACK [C-1] or CALL HOLD [C-6].
Interactions
1. OFF-HOOK ALARM [O-6]: AUTOMATIC IDLE RETURN can not be activated when OFF-HOOK
ALARM has already been set. However, when the transferred station assigned by OFF-HOOK
ALARM is in the LINE LOCKOUT [L-3] status or make busy status, AUTOMATIC IDLE RETURN
is available.
2. When a station places the other party on CALL HOLD [C-6], CALL BACK [C-1] or ATT CAMP-
ON WITH TONE INDICATION [A-1], AUTOMATIC IDLE RETURN may not be activated.
