P-11 Periodic Time Indication Tone
General Description
This feature provides a tone every 180 seconds, if required, to the station user who has made an outgoing
call.
Operating Procedure
No manual operation is required.
Service Conditions
1. This feature is programmed on a per-trunk route basis using the MAINTENANCE
ADMINISTRATION TERMINAL (MAT) [M-18].
2. The PERIODIC TIME INDICATION TONE is 80 ms in duration and is sent every 180 seconds.
See VARIABLE TIMING PARAMETERS [V-1] for other programming time periods.
3. This feature is only available for station users who have placed outgoing calls to a Central Office
line or to a TIE Line.
4. Incoming calls or outgoing calls initiated by the Attendant will not have this feature.
5. When the station user activates SPECIAL DIAL TONE after the outgoing call mode, this feature
will be cancelled automatically.
6. When the station user activates the following service features after the outgoing calls to a Central
Office line or to a TIE Line, this feature will be cancelled automatically:

Interactions
1. The timers set in System Data 1, Indexes 137 and 138 are approximate. Expect errors of ± 40
seconds. Keeping track of time for this service is a very low priority for the CPU.
2. PERIODIC TIME INDICATION TONE is used for outgoing connections only.
