3.4.2 Status Bits
(1) Upper Limit Over-travel (Status 0/1: 0bit)
When online, this bit switches on if the current position violates the upper limit specified by the
parameter settings. VS-212DN operation and outputs are not affected when this bit switches on.
This bit can be turned off by returning the current position to within the lower limit/upper limit range,
and performing an error reset (command 1: 6bit).
(2) Lower Limit Over-travel (Status 0/1: 1bit)
When online, this bit switches on if the current position violates the lower limit specified by the
parameter settings. VS-212DN operation and outputs are not affected when this bit switches on.
This bit can be turned off by returning the current position to within the lower limit/upper limit range,
and performing an error reset (command 1: 6bit).
(3) Sensor Error (Status 0/1: 2bit)
This bit switches on when an ABSOCODER positioning system error (disconnected connector, etc.)
occurs. All outputs except the operation error signal go off when this bit switches on. This bit can
be switched off by eliminating the error cause and then performing an error reset (command 1: 6bit).
(4) Excessive correction amount (Status 0/1: 3bit)
This bit switches on if the amount of current position correction resulting from a current position
preset operation exceeds the permissible correction amount specified by the parameter settings.
VS-212DN operation and outputs are not affected when this bit switches on.
This bit can be switched off by performing an error reset (command 1: 6bit).
(5) Excessive current position change amount (Status 0/1: 4bit)
This bit switches on when the amount of current position change over a prescribed interval (20ms)
exceeds the permissible change amount specified by the parameter settings. This bit does not
switch on for current position changes resulting from current position preset or current position
change operations. This bit can be switched off by performing an error reset (command 1: 6bit).
(6) Error Detection (Status 0/1: 5bit)
This bit switches on if any of the (1)-(5) bits described above are on, or when another error occurs
with an error code other than "0". This bit can be switched off by eliminating the error cause and then
performing an error reset (command 1: 6bit).
(7) VS-121DN Status (Status 1: 7bit)
When the RUN mode is selected and "PLC Ready" (command 1: 7bit) switches on, a "VS-212DN
online" status is established and this bit switches on. This bit switches off when "PC Ready"
(command 1: 7bit) switches off. This bit also switches off and a "VS-212DN offline" status is
established if the mode is changed to a mode other than the RUN mode while the VS-212DN is
online.
(8) CH.0-15 (Status 2-5: 0-7bit)
Switches the limit switch on/off.
(9) Positioning Output (Status 6/7: 0-7bit)
Switches the positioning output on/off. (Same as signal which is output by the input/output connector.)
