6.8 Digital I/O Control

The Digital I/O chapter covers the features required to control the general Input and Output signals

of the device. These include input and output control signals for triggering timers, counters and

also static signals such as user conﬁgurable input or output bits.

LineSelector Selects the physical line (or pin)

of the external device connector

or the virtual line of the

Transport Layer to conﬁgure

LineMode Controls if the physical Line is

used to Input or Output a signal

signal of the selected input or

LineStatus Returns the current status of the

selected input or output Line

available Line signals at time of

LineSource Selects which internal acquisition

or I/O source signal to output on

oeDebounceEnable Enable the input debounce

circuitry. This allows to ﬁlter the

input signal and ignore spurious

commutations.

oeDebounceAmount Amount of time for which the

input signal need to stay

constant in order to be

recognized as a valid input

oePulseGeneratorEnable Override the output signal with a

pulse generated at the rising

edge of the signal speciﬁed by

LineSource

oePulseGeneratorPeriod Sets the duration of the output

signal pulse
