1.1 Medical purpose
The Helix
3D
Hip Joint System is to be used exclusively for the exoprosthetic tting of patients with hip amputations
such as intertrochanteric amputation, hip disarticulation or hemipelvectomy.
1.2 Field of application
The Helix
3D
Hip Joint can be used by active prosthesis wearers as well as by prosthesis wearers who require a
high degree of safety. Thanks to its hydraulic stance phase and swing phase control it offers functional safety
and dynamic comfort.
Field of application according to the Ottobock MOBIS® Mobility System:
Recommended for mobility grades 2 and 3 (restricted outdoor walker,
unrestricted outdoor walker).
Approved for a body weight of up to 100 kg/220 lbs.
