5.2 Organizing the Datalogger
The MG2-DL datalogger is a flexible, file-based system. Every
measurement stored into the datalogger is tagged with a file name and
identification number (ID number). The file name and ID number may
be thought of as the place in the gage memory where the measurement
data is stored. This description usually corresponds to the physical
location numbers of each measurement point in the actual application.
When stored data is loaded into a computer and later recalled back to the
gage, each measurement is always uniquely identified by the file name
and ID number where it was initially stored.
