How to troubleshoot IP-PTs/SIP phones that do not operate on Panasonic KX-NS500?
- DDavid TaylorAug 23, 2025
If your IP-PTs/SIP phones are not working with your Panasonic PBX, first ensure that all network devices are switched on and that the IP-PT/SIP phone is not blocked by the firewall or other network devices. Check that an 8-pin twisted pair cable is used for connection, CAT 5/CAT 5e cables are not over 100 m in length, and a straight cable is used for connection to a switching hub. If the issue persists, the cause may be a DSP card or mother board malfunction, in which case you should replace the corresponding card or the mother board. It could also be due to not enough activation keys, so you should purchase additional activation key codes from a certified dealer. Ensure the IP-PT/SIP phone is registered. If the IP-PT/SIP phone is malfunctioning, consider replacing it.
