Unit Recycling
Recycle the AED at the end of its useful life.
Preparation The AED should be clean and contaminant-free prior to being
recycled.
Recycling Assistance The AED should be recycled according to national,
regional, and local regulations. Contact your local Physio-Control
representative for assistance.
Recycling of Disposable Electrodes After using disposable electrodes,
follow your local clinical procedures for recycling.
Recycling of Batteries Follow instructions given in this electronic service
manual and local guidelines for recycling rechargeable sealed lead-acid
batteries. Follow instructions given in this electronic service manual for
discharging and discarding nonrechargeable lithium batteries.
Packaging Packaging should be recycled according to national, regional,
and local regulations.
