Unit Recycling
Recycle the AED at the end of its useful life.
■ Preparation – The AED should be clean and contaminant-free prior to being
recycled.
■ Recycling Assistance – The AED should be recycled according to national,
regional, and local regulations. Contact your local Physio-Control
representative for assistance.
■ Recycling of Disposable Electrodes – After using disposable electrodes,
follow your local clinical procedures for recycling.
■ Recycling of Batteries – Follow instructions given in this electronic service
manual and local guidelines for recycling rechargeable sealed lead-acid
batteries. Follow instructions given in this electronic service manual for
discharging and discarding nonrechargeable lithium batteries.
■ Packaging – Packaging should be recycled according to national, regional,
and local regulations.
