MASTER CYLINDER
REMOVAL
1. Open the hood.
2. Remove retaining clip (A) from clevis pin (B).
3. Place a container to catch brake fluid under the
master cylinder brake line banjo bolts / brake light
switch (C).
NOTE
Dispose of brake fluid properly. Do not re-use.
CAUTION
Brake fluid will damage finished surfaces.
Do not allow brake fluid to come in contact with finished
surfaces.
4. Loosen banjo bolt and brake light switch (C) for
brake lines and allow fluid to drain.
NOTE
Note how lines attach to master cylinder.
5. Remove master cylinder mounting bolts (D).
INSTALLATION
Reverse Steps 1-5 for master cylinder installation. Refer
to torque specifications in the illustration. After
installing the foot brake check pedal free-play.
MEASUREMENT
Pedal Free-play:
Less than .090″ (2.3 mm)
