1. Locate the bushing split. Using a small chisel or flat
blade screwdriver, peel back and remove old bushing
from side gear, being careful not to damage the gear.
2. Thoroughly clean and inspect bore of side gear for
nicks or damage. Remove any burrs.
3. Press new bushing into side gear until bottomed in
bore.
PLANETARY DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY
1. Thoroughly clean all components prior to
reassembly.
2. Assemble side gears and place them onto the ring
gear along with the (6) planet gears.
3. Align and install the differential cover using the
previously made scribe marks.
4. Apply Loctite® 2760 to cover screws and torque to
specification.
TORQUE
Differential Cover Screws:
22 ft-lb (30 Nm)
DIFFERENTIAL CASE ASSEMBLY
1. Grease all seals with Polaris All Season Grease (PN
2871322) upon assembly.
