11. Remove top bearing carrier bolt (D, both sides).
Support both left side and right side bearing carriers
with blocks to keep drive shafts at a shallow angle.
12. Carefully pry in area (E) to push the drive shafts off
the transaxle splines.
13. Move drive shafts out of the way and remove
transaxle mounting bolts (F).
14. Lift transaxle out of the lower mount and pull
rearward to dislocate the prop shaft (G) from the
front transaxle shaft.
15. With the help of an assistant or a hoist, remove
transaxle out rear of vehicle.

1. Drain and properly dispose of transaxle lubricant
(see Transaxle (Rear Gearcase) Lubricant, page
2.10).
