REAR DRIVESHAFT
REMOVAL
1. Elevate rear of vehicle and safely support machine
under the frame area.
CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or falls.
Be sure machine is secure before beginning this
service procedure.
Always wear eye protection.
2. Remove the (4) wheel nuts and remove the rear
wheel.
3. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the rear wheel hub
castle nut. Remove the nut, and (2) cone washers
from the rear wheel hub assembly.
4. Remove the two brake caliper mounting bolts.
5. CAUTION: Do not hang the caliper by the brake line.
Use wire to hang caliper to prevent damage to the
brake line.
6. Remove the rear wheel hub assembly.
7. Remove the bolt that attaches the upper A-arm to the
rear bearing carrier.
8. Tilt the top portion of the bearing carrier down and
pull the rear drive shaft out from the bearing carrier.
