4. Slide the clamp

back and remove the coolant inlet
hose from the water pump housing.
5. Slowly drain the coolant into the drain pan. Dispose
of used coolant properly.
6. Remove the coolant by-pass hose

pump cover fitting.
7. Remove the ten cover screws

and pump cover

8. Remove gasket, impeller bolt, washer, and impeller.

1. Disconnect the stator wire harness and remove the
CPS from the stator cover.
2. Remove the (8) stator cover screws.
3. Carefully remove the stator cover taking care not to
damage the plastic coolant pipe.
CAUTION
The flywheel contains powerful magnets. Use caution
when removing the stator cover.
DO NOT place fingers between cover and crankcase at
any time during the removal process or injury could
result.
