If "P3.6.1 Cold Start Warmup Option" is enabled, then "Local Firing Rate Control Source" cannot be 135 Ohm
Demand or 4-20 P7810 Demand.
P3.1.2 therMIStor ohMS adjuStMent
Menu > Setup > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
If Thermistor PID is selected for the "P3.1.1 Local Firing Rate Control Source", adjust this value to correct the displayed boiler outlet
thermistor temperature to the actual temperature. More positive values decrease the temperature; more negative values increase
the temperature.
Options: -200 to 200 [Default 0]
Note If "P3.1.1 Local Firing Rate Control Source" = Thermistor PID, then "Thermistor Ohms Adjustment" must also be
congured.
P3.1.3 zero, cuStoM blr outlet xMtr
Menu > Setup > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This sets the zero of the Custom 4-20 mA PID. It should equal the zero-scale calibration of the boiler outlet sensor at 4 mA or 0 Vdc.
Options: -1100.0 to 1000.0 [Default 0.0]
P3.1.4 SPan, cuStoM blr outlet xMtr
Menu > Setup > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This sets the span of the Custom 4-20 mA PID. It should equal the full-scale calibration of the boiler outlet sensor at 20 mA or 5 Vdc.
Options: 5.0 to 2000.0 [Default 25.0]
P3.1.5 dec Pt, cuStoM blr outlet xMtr
Menu > Setup > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
Determines the decimal point format used for boiler outlet temperature or pressure when the Custom 4-20 mA PID is selected.
Options: xxxxx (no decimal point)
xxx.x (one decimal point)
Error Checks If "P3.1.1 Local Firing Rate Control Source" equals Thermistor PID, then P3.1.5 must be set to xxxxx (no decimal
point)
If "P3.1.4 Span, Custom Blr Outlet Xmtr" is greater than 999.9, then "Dec Pt, Custom Blr Outlet Xmtr" must be set
to xxxxx (no decimal point).
P3.1.6 therMIStor deg c oPtIon
Menu > Setup > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
Determines how the Thermistor sensor signal is displayed
Options: Disabled: Thermistor sensor signal is displayed in °F
Enabled: Thermistor sensor signal is displayed in °C
Note If "P3.1.1 Local Firing Rate Control Source" = Thermistor PID, then "Thermistor Deg C Option" must also be congured.
Firing Rate > Tuning
P3.2.1 ProPortIonal band, rate PId
Menu > Tuning > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the boiler outlet temperature or pressure change that results in a 100% ring rate. A smaller proportional band value
results in tighter, more active PID control.
Options: 0.05 to 50.00 [Default 5.00]
Note If the proportional band is too small, then the burner ring rate will oscillate; if it is too large, then the burner ring
rate will be sluggish.
P3.2.2 MInuteS Per rePeat, rate PId
Menu > Tuning > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the PID Integral ramp rate, expressed in Minutes-per-Repeat. A smaller value makes the integral ramp in less time,
faster.
Options: 0.75 to 10.00 [Default 1.25]
Note If the Minutes-per-Repeat is too small, then the burner ring rate will oscillate; if it is too large, then the burner ring
rate will be slow getting to setpoint.
P3.2.3 Sec/100%, raMP rate, FIrIng rate
Menu > Tuning > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This limits the rate of ring rate change in both manual and automatic. A change of 100% will take "Sec/100%, Ramp Rate, Firing
Rate" seconds.
Options: 35 to 120 [Default 45]
Note
If "P3.1.1 Local Firing
Rate Control Source" =
Custom 4-20 mA PID, then
P3.1.3, P3.1.4, and P3.1.5
must also be congured.
