Problem Solution
A trip or error message is displayed on the LCD screen. Find the message from the list of messages above and
follow the steps provided.
LCD screen won't turn on Ensure power is supplied to the Flame Safeguard
Ensure the serial cable connecting the Flame Safeguard
to the Combustion Control is in working order.
135-ohm ring rate signal does not change or is not reading
correctly
Ensure the 135-ohm ring rate controller is wired in
accordance with "Figure 2 2 FF-110 BMS Standard
Wiring Diagram (Typical) (Default)" on page 2-16 or
"Figure 2 6 FF-CC Wiring Diagram (Typical)" on page
2-19.
Check terminal 110; no wires should be connected.
Check that "P3.1.1 Local Firing Rate Control Source" on
page 4-70, is set to 135 Ohm Demand.
4-20 P7810 Demand, 4-20mA boiler outlet, or Thermistor
boiler outlet does not read correctly
Ensure the detector is wired according to "Figure 2 – 6
FF-CC Wiring Diagram (Typical)" on page 2-19.
Check that "P3.1.1 Local Firing Rate Control Source" on
page 4-70, is not set to 135 Ohm Demand.
