4. The cold start cycle ends when boiler outlet > "P3.6.3 Deactivate SP, Cold Start" or PID ring rate < cold start ring rate
or the operator places the ring rate to manual.
P3.6.1 cold Start warMuP oPtIon
Menu > Optional Features > Cold Start Warmup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines if cold start warmup is enabled. Due to stress created by thermal expansion, some boilers require a slow warmup
if the boiler is cold.
Options: Disabled: Cold start warmup cycle is not used
Enabled: Cold start warmup cycle is used
Note If the "Cold Start Warmup Option" is disabled, then all other cold start related parameters are ignored.
Error Check If "P3.1.1 Local Firing Rate Control Source" equals 135 Ohm Demand or 4-20 P7810 Demand, then "Cold Start
Warmup Option" must be disabled.
P3.6.2 actIVate SP, cold Start
Menu > Optional Features > Cold Start Warmup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines when the cold start warmup cycle is active. When the FlexFit completes MTFI, if the boiler outlet is less than this
parameter, the cold start cycle is activated; the ring rate is set to 0%; the warmup setpoint is set to (boiler outlet + the setpoint step);
and the override timer is started.
Options: 0.1 to 1800.0 [Default 40.0]
Error Check P3.6.3 must be greater than P3.6.2.
P3.6.3 deactIVate SP, cold Start
Menu > Optional Features > Cold Start Warmup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines when the cold start warmup cycle deactivates. When the boiler outlet is greater than this parameter, the cold start
cycle will end. The cold start cycle will also end when PID ring rate is less than the cold start ring rate or if the operator changed
the ring rate from auto to manual.
Options: 0.1 to 1800.0 [Default 100.0]
Error Check P3.6.3 must be greater than P3.6.2.
P3.6.4 SetPoInt SteP, cold Start
Menu > Optional Features > Cold Start Warmup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the cold start warmup cycle setpoint step increase. Every time the cold start warmup cycle increases the boiler
outlet setpoint, it is increased by this amount. When the boiler outlet is greater than the warmup setpoint, the new warmup setpoint
equals (old warmup setpoint + set point step), the new ring rate equals (old ring rate + ring rate step), and the override timer will
reset to 0 minutes.
Options: 0.1 to 200.0 [Default 10.0]
P3.6.5 FIrIng rate SteP, cold Start

This determines the cold start warmup cycle ring rate step increase. Every time the cold start warmup cycle increases the ring
rate, it is increased by this amount.
Options: 2.0 to 30.0 [Default 10.0]
P3.6.6 FIrIng SteP oVerrIde MInuteS, cold Start
Menu > Optional Features > Cold Start Warmup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This override timer determines how long the FlexFit will wait before moving to the next ring rate step. If the boiler doesn't reach the
next setpoint step within this time limit, the ring rate will increase by the "P3.6.5 Firing Rate Step, Cold Start" and the override timer
will reset to 0 minutes.
Options: 1 to 120 [Default 20]

P3.7.1 oPerator hIgh FIre lIMIter oPtIon
Menu > Advanced Settings > Firing Rate Settings Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
Determines if the operator high re limiter is used. This allows the operator to select a high re limit from the LCD screen.
Options: Disabled: The operator high re limiter option is not used.
Enabled: The operator high re limiter option is used.

The cold start warmup
cycle will not activate until
"P2.5.1 FGR Temp Low
Fire Hold Option" has
released. The cold start
warmup cycle overrides
"P3.5.1 T27 Options".
