QD1 Quick Disconnect Cables
This section applies to QD1 quick disconnect cables. If not using the QD1 cables, refer to "Servo Wiring" on page 2-24.
QD1 cables are ITC-ER (Exposed Run) and do not need to be run in conduit if the following are true:
• The cable is protected from physical damage using mechanical protection such as struts, angles, channels, etc.
• The cable must be supported and be secured at intervals not exceeding 6 ft.
• The cable must not contact, or be secured to, surfaces exceeding 185 F (85 C)
Connectors are NEMA 4 rated when hand-tight. Do not over tighten. For long runs, multiple cables can be connected together.
Maximum combined cable length is 250 ft. Max quick disconnect junction box (QD1-JB) servo stub length is 20 ft.
Connections to a quick disconnect junction box (QD1-JB) must start at “A” and not skip outputs. The output following the last
servo can be connected to the “IN” of another QD1-JB, or to a servo Daisy Chain. Servo addresses must follow the Daisy Chain (or
QD1-JB) sequence, and not skip any values.
Begin by wiring the QD1-Cable-F-xx cable to the FlexFit-CC.
