Modbus
P6.1.1 ModbuS Mode
Menu > Advanced Settings > Modbus Setup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
Selects either Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII protocol.
Options: ASCII: This makes use of ASCII characters for communication.
RTU: This makes use of binary representations of data for communication and uses CRC error checking. It is the
most common type of Modbus communication.
P6.1.2 ModbuS addreSS
Menu > Advanced Settings > Modbus Setup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the Modbus address of the FlexFit. Each slave in a Modbus network is assigned a unique address. When the master
device requests data, the rst byte it sends is the slave address. This way each slave knows after the rst byte whether to ignore
the message.
Options: 1 to 247 [Default 1]
P6.1.3 ModbuS baudrate
Menu > Advanced Settings > Modbus Setup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This is the Modbus transmission speed (bits per second). All devices on the Modbus network must communicate at the same speed.
Options: 4800
9600
19,200
38,400
P6.1.4 ModbuS ParIty
Menu > Advanced Settings > Modbus Setup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines if a parity bit is added to the end of each string of binary code.
Options: None: No parity bit is used and two stop bits are added to the end of each binary string.
Odd: A binary 0 or 1 is added to the end of each binary string such that the total of all 1-bits is odd. This is followed
by a single stop bit.
Even: A binary 0 or 1 is added to the end of each binary string such that the total of all 1-bits is even. This is followed
by a single stop bit.
P6.1.5 ModbuS coMM tIMeout (Sec)
Menu > Advanced Settings > Modbus Setup Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
Determines the Modbus communication timeout. If there is no Modbus message after this time, Modbus communication will be
considered lost.
Options: 2 to 255 [Default 10]
Serial Number
P7.1.1 SerIal nuMber
Menu > Utilities > Serial Number Password Level: N/A Restricted? N/A
This is a unique number generated during the manufacturing process for identication. It cannot be changed.
Options: 00000000 to FFFFFFFE
