P3.2.4 rate Max SP
Menu > Tuning > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the upper limit setpoint for all local and remote modes of operation. This parameter cannot be overridden by the
display, Modbus, DHW demands, etc.
Options: 0.5 to 2000.0 [Default 240.0]
Error Checks The difference of P3.2.4 - P3.2.5 must be greater than 2.0.
"P3.2.6 Rate Local SP" must be between "P3.2.5 Rate Min SP" and "P3.2.4 Rate Max SP".
"P3.5.2 DHW, Rate PID Override SP" must be between "P3.2.5 Rate Min SP" and "P3.2.4 Rate Max SP".
P3.2.5 rate MIn SP
Menu > Tuning > Firing Rate Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the lower limit setpoint for all local and remote modes of operation. This parameter cannot be overridden by the
display, Modbus, DHW demands, etc.
Options: -700.0 to 1900.0 [Default 0.0]
Error Checks The difference of P3.2.4 - P3.2.5 must be greater than 2.0.
"P3.2.6 Rate Local SP" must be between "P3.2.5 Rate Min SP" and "P3.2.4 Rate Max SP".
"P3.5.2 DHW, Rate PID Override SP" must be between "P3.2.5 Rate Min SP" and "P3.2.4 Rate Max SP".
P3.2.6 rate local SP
Menu > Tuning > Firing Rate Password Level: Operator Restricted? No
Determines the process setpoint when the FlexFit is in the local mode of operation. It must fall within the limits of parameters "P3.2.4
Rate Max SP" and "P3.2.5 Rate Min SP".
Options: -700.0 to 2000.0 [Default 7.5]
Note "Rate Local SP" is manually set by the operator.
Error Check "Rate Local SP" must be between "P3.2.5 Rate Min SP" and "P3.2.4 Rate Max SP".
Firing Rate > 24 Hour Recycle
P3.3.1 Scanner check 24hr recycle oPtIon
Menu > Optional Features > 24 Hour Recycle Password Level: Engineer Restricted? Yes
This determines if the ame scanner check 24-hour recycle option is used. If selected, the FlexFit will recycle the burner to verify
ame scanner operation daily.
Options: Disabled: The scanner check 24hr recycle option is not used.
Fixed Time of Day: The FlexFit will recycle the burner during the hour selected by "P3.3.2 Scanner Check Time of
Day, xx:00".
After 24 Hrs: The FlexFit will recycle the burner after every 24 hours of operation.
P3.3.2 Scanner check tIMe oF day, xx:00
Menu > Optional Features > 24 Hour Recycle Password Level: Technician Restricted? Yes
Determines the hour of the day (24-hour format) the FlexFit will recycle the burner if "P3.3.1 Scanner Check 24hr Recycle Option"
is set to Fixed Time of Day
Options: 0 to 23 [Default 9]
Note 0 = Midnight
Firing Rate > Local/Remote Mode
Call for Heat (Option)
For the burner to start/run, a call for heat (CFH) must be made, in addition to other limits/interlocks (if call for heat is not used,
it is, in effect, always made). The CFH can be via a terminal, a setpoint deviation, or a remote signal.
Parameter "P3.4.4 Enable Remote Mode" determines if the FlexFit can be placed in remote mode. If enabled, the front panel LCD
[or Modbus coil 1041 (or register 49608, bit 0)] determines if the FlexFit is in local or remote mode and using local or remote setpoints.
In local mode, parameter "P3.4.1 CFH Local Mode" determines if the CFH is based on a 120 V contact closure to terminal 17 or a
deviation from setpoint. If P3.4.1 is set to Not Used, it effectively means CFH is always active. In remote mode, parameter "P3.4.5 CFH
Remote Mode" determines if the CFH is based on a 120 V contact closure to terminal 17, a deviation from setpoint, or a Modbus signal.
For both local and remote modes, the setpoint deviation CFH is based on boiler outlet pressure (or temperature) versus the
setpoint. When the boiler outlet is less than the setpoint (minus "P3.4.2 CFH Start Deviation"), setpoint deviation call for heat is active.
When the boiler outlet is greater than the setpoint (plus "P3.4.3 CFH Stop Deviation"), setpoint deviation call for heat is inactive.
The local setpoint is determined by the operator via the front panel LCD. The remote setpoint can be either a 4-20 mA setpoint or a
Modbus setpoint as determined by parameter "P3.4.6 Remote Modulation".
