III.2 Control Keys
III.2.1 The CALL 1 and CALL 2 keys
The fundamental role of these keys is the initiation and termination of a
connection. Note that these keys have different functions depending on the
communication line status at any given moment. Additionally, the display will
also show different information.
Depending on the line’s status, CALL 1 and CALL 2 will function in the following
way:
With the line disconnected:
a) Initiation of a communication: Pressing CALL 1 or CALL 2 will
access the call initiation menu. (Note that, CALL 2 only works
when ProntoNetLC works as a DUAL codec

With both the Tx and the Rx parts connected: There are two different
functions:
a) A short press will display on-screen the number or IP address of
the current connection.
b) A long press (over 1 second) will disconnect the associated line.
It is possible to program a number of call retries from the ProntoNetLC web
page.
With either the Tx or Rx part connected: There are two different
functions:
a) A short press will display on-screen the following message:
By selecting the Status option, the user can get information about
the IP address of the existing connection. By selecting Multicast or
Unicast, the user can make a connection to receive or to send
audio, depending of what direction, Tx or Rx, is free.
b) A long press (over 1 second) will disconnect the associated line.

DUAL codec: ProntoNetLC is able to operate as a DUAL codec over IP (when configured in
‘DOUBLE’ mode).
