Onceyourdisplayhasbeeninstalledand
commissioned,Raymarinerecommendsthatyou
performaninitialsetupprocedure.
Startupwizard
Whenyoupower-upthedisplayforthersttimeor
afterasystemresetaStartupWizardisdisplayed.
Thewizardguidesyouthroughthefollowingbasic
congurationsettings:
1.Language
2.Boattype
3.CongureUnits(Unitsofmeasure)
4.BoatDetails
•MinimumSafeDepth
•Numberofengines
•Totalfuelcapacity(TFC)
•Numberoffueltanks
•Numberofbatteries
Note:Thesesettingscanalsobesetatanytime
usingthemenusaccessiblefromHomescreen

Additionalsettings
InadditiontothesettingscoveredbytheWizard,
itisalsorecommendedthatthefollowinginitialset
uptasksarecompleted:
•Setyourdateandtimepreferences.
•Adjustthedisplaybrightness(andsetupashared
brightnessschemeifappropriate).
•Designatethedatamaster.
•SelecttheGPSdatasource.
•Familiarizeyourselfwiththeproductusing
SimulatorMode.
Adjustingthedisplaybrightness
1.PressthePOWERbuttononce.
TheShortcutsmenuisdisplayed.
2.Adjustthebrightnesstotherequiredlevelusing
theon-screenbrightnesssliderbarcontrol,or
3.TouchtheSunicontoincreasethebrightness
levelortheMoonicontodecreasethebrightness
level.
Note:Thebrightnesslevelcanalsobeincreased
bypressingthePowerbuttonmultipletimes.
Adjustingthedisplaybrightness
1.PressthePOWERbuttononce.
TheShortcutsmenuisdisplayed.
2.Adjustthebrightnesstotherequiredlevelusing
theRotarycontrol.
Note:Thebrightnesslevelcanalsobeincreased
bypressingthePowerbuttonmultipletimes.
Minimumsafevesseldepth
AspartoftheInitialstartupwizardtheMinimum
SafeDepthvaluecanbeset.
MinimumSafeDepthcanbeestablishedbyadding
together:
•MaximumVesselDraft(i.e.thedistancefromthe
waterlinetothelowestpointofavessel’skeel.)
•SafetyMargin(anadequateclearancebelowthe
keeltoallowfordraftvariationandchangesin
waterorbottomconditions.)
i.e.:MinimumSafeDepth=MaximumVesselDraft
+SafetyMargin.
