Autoroutingwillberestrictedfromenteringwater
thatistooshallowforthevessel.
Important:WhenusingAutoroutingthefollowing
restrictionsapply:
•Autoroutingcanonlybeusedwhengenerating
routeswithintheareacoveredbyyour
compatiblecartography.
•Autoroutingcanbeusedbetweenwaypoints
lessthan100nmapart.
•Autoroutingalwaysusesthecartography’s
minimumdepthreadingwhencalculatingroutes.
•Autoroutingwillfailifthegeneratedroutewill
exceedthemaximumwaypointorroutecapacity
oftheMFD.
•Autoroutingwillalsofailifinsufcient
cartographicdataisavailable.

ensuringcompliancetotheruleslaidout
intheaboveregulations.
BuildingarouteusingAutorouting
Autoroutingcanbeusedtocreateanentireroute
orcanbeactivatedatanytimewhenbuildinganew
route.
FromtheChartapplication:
1.SelectBuildRoutefromthechartcontextmenu
ortheNavigatemenu.
TheBuildRoutemenuisdisplayed.
2.SelectAutoroutingsothatOnisselected.
AutoroutingcanbeswitchedOnandOffatany
timeduringroutebuilding.
3.SelectthepositionontheChartwhereyouwant
therouteorroutelegtostart.
4.SelectthepositionontheChartwhereyouwant
therouteorroutelegtoend.
Thesystemwilltrytoautomaticallycalculatethe
shortestsaferoutebetweenthe2points.
