SYMPTOM
JAM18 (Main Relay Sensor: Late Jam) may occur.
CAUSE
Machine internal pressure causes the lock lever of the vertical
transport door to deform (see the photo to the right) over time.
As a result, the door is incompletely shut and creates an
unwanted gap in the paper path where the leading edge of the
paper curls.
SOLUTION
Production line:
The following 2 brackets were added to prevent the locking
lever from deforming and shifting the position of the lock on the
mainframe.
