Chapter 8 Running and Saving Reports
You can also print a duplicate Z1 R eport. T his is useful if the register
runs out of paper while printing, or if there is a power outage while
the Z1 R eport is printing. Y ou must set the parameter in O thers Setup
to allow a second report to be printed. T o print the duplicate report, press
Subtotal <Reprint> immediately after the report is printed.
• Periodic report (Z2 report) — C ommonly known as a weekly or monthly
reading. T his reading prints or saves transaction totals either on a weekly
or monthly basis (not both) and resets all transaction totals to zero except
the R unning G rand Total.
About Management Reports
T he following management reports are available in both X mode and Z
mode, unless noted otherwise:
1 C ash-in-Drawer R eport - Available in the X mode only. Prints how much
cash is in the drawer at the time of the report.
2 Financial R eport - A lso called X and Z reports. Prints or saves totals of
departments, tax, net sales, voids, returns, coupons, refunds, minus
percentage, plus percentage, receipts-on-account, paid out, cash, check,
charge and the running grand total.
3 PL U R eport - Prints or saves quantity and dollar amount of each PL U
number rung up.
4 Department R ange R eport - Prints the sales information, quantity, and
dollar amount totals for the specified departments. X mode only.
5 C lerk R eport - Prints total sales amounts of
each C lerk Number (tax
calculations are not included in this total).
6 H ourly R eport - Provides total sales amounts rung up each hour.
7 Periodic X -2 and Z-2 R eports - Prints or saves the transaction totals for
a period of time, such as a week or a month.
8 E lectronic Journal R eport - Prints or saves the information from the
E lectronic Journal. C an be printed in X or Z modes, but only saved
in Z mode.
Running Reports
R unning reports are easy - just follow the prompts on the clerk display.
Before you start printing reports, remember the following:
• A ll Z reports will print on the cash register tape to provide a
permanent record before the totals are reset. Y ou can also save
most reports to an SD card.
• For many X reports, you can view the report on the clerk display or
print/save the report for a permanent record.
