MPS4232
Section 5: Software
NOTES A Scanivalve SPC4000 or SPC4050 is required for automated validaons.
An Ethernet controllable thermal chamber is required for full validaons.

COMMAND MVAL
TYPE Funcon
DESCRIPTION When the master receives the MVAL command, it starts the mulple device full or eld validaon
sequence, as dened by the variables in LIST C and/or LIST O. A validaon report is generated and
stored in each MPS’s le system.
SYNTAX MVAL [<F or FM>]
Where:
F = Iniates a single temperature eld validaon, with no oven connecon. MPS connecon to
a calibrator required.
FM = Iniates a single temperature manual eld validaon with no oven or calibrator connec-
on.
When the oponal parameter is not present, the unit performs a full mul-unit validaon.

COMMAND CALZ
TYPE Funcon/Set
DESCRIPTION Starts a zero calibraon and places the MPS4200 into CALZ mode. This operaon produces A/D
count values for each pressure channel that is subtracted from the raw pressure counts
before converng to the chosen pressure units.
SYNTAX CALZ [0]
If the opon “0” is used, this will disable any previous CALZ correcon factors. The scan data will
then be non-corrected.
RETURNS A prompt when ready for the next command.
EXAMPLE CALZ
>
NOTES A CALZ does not require addional equipment, is performed internally, and the command can be
issued at any me.
Typically, a CALZ is issued when the module is in the CALIBRATE valve state. This allows the CAL
and REF ports to be ed together externally to provide an equal, or zero dierenal, pressure
to the posive and negave sides of the transducer. This provides an opmal Quick-Zero Oset
Correcon.
CALZ’s can be performed when the module is in MEASUREMENT (Px) mode. This is typically
performed in a “wind-o” condion, known as a “wind-o CALZ”, where no pressure is being
applied to the REF or Px ports of the module. This provides a Quick-Zero Oset Correcon in the
measurement state with no pressure applied.
