In the event that the ROM content is destroyed due to power cutoff during the ROM
upgrade process, etc., when the instrument is turned ON, the status indicator blinks green
and orange alternately. In this situation, the ROM version can be upgraded (rewritten) via
the serial port using the following procedure.
1) Connect the COM ports of the instrument to be upgraded and a PC using an RS-232C
cross-over cable. If there are multiple COM ports, use COM1.
2) Switch on the power to the instrument.
Verify that the status indicator is blinking green and orange alternately. Only in that
condition the upgrade can be conducted.
3) Run the version upgrade program "Fupdate.EXE".
4) Specify the COM port, and select the ROM file name. The baud rate is set
automatically.
