5.2.1 Remote variables REMx
The ATC6500 can control a maximum of 8 remote variables. A remote variable is a variable
used internally that can be switched on and off by the user.
It is switched on and off via MODBUS, see chapter Commands (use with MODBUS function

Note
Communication
The remote variables can only be used in combination with communication environments.
These could be via the integrated RS485 interface COM1, via additional expansion modules
for communication or via the USB fro
nt interface.
The remote variables can be used as a source for the following functions:
Activation of the switching devices
P02.39 Activation of the tie breaker TB
P07.n.11 Activating control of the switching devices
Activation of the input sources:
P09.n.19 Activating control of the source
User alarm UA
Counter CNTn
Timer TIMn
Digital output OUTx
Example: If a digital output is set as a source for the remote variable, it can be switched on
and off by remote access via MODBUS. If the remote variable is set as a source for a
breaker status (e.g. P07.1.11), the breaker can only be controlled if the remote variable has
been activated via MODBUS.
