Requirements
• The required software was installed on the PG/ PC or PCS 7 ES.
• You need the GSD 󹪝le.
– PROFINET GSD 󹪝le xxx-GSD-FILE
– PROFIBUS GSD 󹪝le: SI028110.GSG

The GSD 󹪝le is integrated into the con󹪝guration software as described below:
Note
The GSD 󹪝le for the ET 200iSP is based on revision 4. Result: Not all parameters are available
in COM PROFIBUS.
Make sure that your con󹪝guration tool supports GSD 󹪝les as of revision 4; all parameters will
then be available.

1. Star STEP 7 an call in HW Con󹪝g the menu com‐
mand Options > Install new GSD 󹪝le.
2. In the following dialog, select the GSD 󹪝le to be
installed and con󹪝rm with OK.
The ET 200iSP is displayed in the hardware cat‐
alog in the following directory:
– PROFINET GSD integrated:
In the PROFINET IO directory
– PROFIBUS GSD integrated:
In the PROFIBUS DP directory
1. Copy the GSD 󹪝le from ET 200iSP to the COM
PROFIBUS directory: ...COMPB5\GSD (default
setting). Copy the bitmap 󹪝le to the directo‐
ry ...COMPB5\BITMAPS.
2. Start COM PROFIBUS and call the menu com‐
mand File > Read GSD 󹪝le.
The ET 200iSP is displayed in the hardware cat‐
alog during the device con󹪝guration.
• A suitable interface is required so that you can work online with SIMATIC PDM:
– For PROFINET IO: Standard access of the con󹪝guration tool to the AS and further to the IO
device
– For PROFIBUS DP e.g., CP5611 (6GK1561-1AA00). The CP must be set to the PROFIBUS DP
interface (in the SIMATIC manager: Menu command Options > Set PG/PC interface).
WARNING
Con󹪝guration with GSD 󹪝le and SIMATIC PDM
If you con󹪝gure the GSD 󹪝le and SIMATIC PDM, then you create the con󹪝guration in 2 steps:
1st step: Con󹪝guring by means of GSD 󹪝le
2nd step: Parameter assignment with SIMATIC PDM
Make sure that the con󹪝guration (1st step) is consistent with the parameter assignment
with SIMATIC PDM (2nd step). The assignment of the slots from step 1 must match the
parameters generated from SIMATIC PDM (step 2).
