Reaction of the I/O to parameter reassignment in RUN
When changing the parameter settings for certain modules (see table), make sure that there is
no diagnostic event pending for this module (for example wire break signal) prior to changing
the settings otherwise diagnostic events exiting the state may no longer be signaled in some
situations. The eect is that the LEDs on the CPU, IM, or module stay lit even though the
recongured module is operating properly. If, this situation nevertheless arises, the module
must be pulled and plugged again.

changing parameter
settings
8 DI NAMUR They return the process value that
applied before the parameters were
set. Inputs not aected return their
last valid value (with value status).
SF LED is lit.
If a diagnostic event was
reported before you star‐
ted to reassign parame‐
ters, the SF LEDs (on the
CPU, IM or module) may
be lit even though the
module is operating prop‐
erly and the diagnostic
event has been cleared.

rameters settings

nostic event pending,

They output the output value that
applied before the parameters were
set. Unaected outputs return their

applied before the parameters were
