Procedure for reading I&M data via the display
Proceed as follows to read the I&M data "higher level designation" or "location designation"
of the CPU via the display:
1. Navigate to the "Overview" menu on the display of the CPU.
2. Select "higher level designation" or "location designation" and confirm with "OK".
Proceed as follows to read the I&M data "higher level designation" or "location designation"
of a centrally used module:
1. Navigate to the "Modules" menu on the display of the CPU.
2. Select the menu command "Local modules" and confirm with "OK".
3. Select the slot of the module (for example Slot 3: DI 32 x 24VDC HF) and confirm with
"OK".
4. Select the "Status" and confirm with OK.
5. Select "higher level designation" or "location designation" and confirm with "OK".
Proceed as follows to read the I&M data "higher level designation" or "location designation"
of a distributed module:
1. Navigate to the "Modules" menu on the display of the CPU.
2. Select the corresponding distributed I/O system (for example PROFINET IO system) and
confirm with "OK".
3. Select the corresponding device (for example ET 200SP-Station_1) and confirm with
"OK".
4. Select the slot of the module (for example Slot 1: DI 16 x DC24V ST_1) and confirm with
"OK".
5. Select the "Status" and confirm with OK.
6. Select "higher level designation" or "location designation" and confirm with "OK".

Requirements: There must be an online connection to the CPU.
