9.2.3 Externe c-Module
9.2.3.1 Allgemeines
Verwendung
Externe c-Module dienen der Kommunikation des Lei-
stungsschalters WL mit Sekundärgeräten im Leistungsschalterfeld.
Mit
ihrer Hilfe lassen sich z. B. Analoganzeigen ansteuern, Auslöse-
status und Auslösegrund des Leistungsschalters übertragen und
zusä
tzliche Steuersignale einlesen. Mit Hilfe eines dieser Module
kann des weiteren eine zeitverkürzte Selektivitätssteuerung für den
Kurzschlussschutz realisiert werden.

Montage
Die externen c-Module werden im Schaltfeld auf eine
standardmäßige 35 mm-Hutschiene aufgeschnappt. Dabei ist zu
bea
chten, dass die Länge der Anschlussleitung des ersten Moduls
zum Leistungsschalter maximal 2 m beträgt.
Verbindungsaufbau
Für die Verbindung der c-Module untereinander und zum
Leistungsschalter sind ausschließlich die mitgelieferten vorkonfek-
tionierten Leitungen zu verwenden. Über diese Leitungen erfolgt
auch
die Spannungsversorgung der c-Module mit
24 V DC. Werden mehr als 2 c-Modu
le angeschlossen,
muss die Versorgung mit 24 V DC über eine separate Leitungsver-
bindung von Modul zu Modul erfolgen.
An einen Leistungsschalter ist immer nur ein c-Mo
dul
direkt anzuschließen. Der Anschluss weiterer Module hat immer
von Modul zu Modul zu erfolgen. Stichleitungen sind nicht zulässig!
Falls vorhanden, ist das ZSI-Modul immer das erste Modul und
m
uss direkt an den Leistungsschalter angeschlossen werden.
Am letzten Modul ist die c-L
eitung am Anschluss X3 mit
einem Widerstand 120 Ω 0,5 W abzuschließen.
9.2.3 External c modules
9.2.3.1 General
Application
External c modules are used for communication bet-
ween the WL circuit breaker and the secondary equipment in the
ci
rcuit breaker panel. They are provided to control analog indicati-
ons, transmit the circuit breaker tripping status and the tripping rea-
son, and to read additional control signals. Furthermore, with one of
t
hese modules it is possible to implement a zone selective interlok-
king for short-circuit protection.

Installation
The external c modules are snapped on a standard
35-mm DIN rail inside the switchgear panel. Please observe that the
length of the connecting cable from the first module to the circuit
breaker does not exceed 6.5 ft.
Connection setup
To connect thec modules to each other and to the circuit
breaker, the supplied pre-assembled cables must be used. These
cables are also used for the 24 V DC voltage supply of
thec modules.
If more than two c modules are connected, the 24 V DC
v
oltage supply must be fed via a separate cable from module to
module.
Only one c module can be connected directly to a circuit
brea
ker. Further modules have to be connected from module to
module. Radial cables are not permissible!
If provided, the ZSI module is always the first module, and it must be
co
nnected directly to the circuit breaker.
On the last module, the c cable must be connected to the

3 with a 120 Ω 0.5 W resistor.
