NOTE: For Control Display touch panel screen touch pad definitions, refer to Table 2-3.
1. Leak Test – Pressing this touch pad displays OPERATING screen. Leak Test time counts down on screen. Abort
touch pad is located in lower right corner. Leak Test passes through three phases: Cycle Preparation, Leak Test
and Aerate.
NOTE: Refer to Leak Test Section for more information.
WARNING
ABORTED CYCLE HAZARD
A leak test is recommended to be performed monthly on the Sterilization Unit to ensure chamber
leak rate is within specification. The leak rate must be less than 0.3 Torr/minute (0.4 mbar/minute
or 0.04 kPa/minute). If not, an abort results, door remains locked and Sterilization Unit service is
required.
2. Print Last Cycle – Pressing this touch pad orders control to print last Cycle processed successfully by this Unit.
3. Sound Options – Pressing this touch pad displays SOUND OPTIONS screen and enables operator to set various
cycle sounds.
a. Pressing Touch Tone touch pad toggles between LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH and OFF.
b. Pressing End of Cycle touch pad toggles between LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH and OFF.
c. Pressing Cycle End Duration touch pad displays CYCLE END DURATION screen. This option sets duration of
alarm sounding at Cycle completion.
• Enter desired time (0 - 90 seconds) on keypad.
• Press green OK touch pad to set new value and display SOUND OPTIONS Volume screen.
• Pressing Alarm Sound touch pad toggles between LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH.
• Pressing Back Arrow returns user to SOUND OPTIONS Main screen.
d. Pressing Reminder Tone Interval touch pad displays SET TIME screen. This option sets interval between
reminder tone sounding.
• Pressing Set Hours touch pad displays CHANGE HOURS screen. Use presented key pad to enter correct
hours number (0 - 1 hour). Pressing green OK touch pad stores new Hour time and returns user to SET
TIME screen. Press Back Arrow touch pad to discard change and return to SET TIME screen.
• Pressing Set Minutes touch pad displays CHANGE MINUTES screen. Use presented key pad to enter
correct minutes number (0 - 59 minutes). Pressing green OK touch pad stores new Minute time and
returns user to SET TIME screen. Press Back Arrow touch pad to discard change and return to SET
TIME screen.
• Pressing Set Seconds touch pad displays CHANGE SECONDS screen. Use presented key pad to enter
correct seconds number (0 - 59 seconds). Pressing green OK touch pad stores new Seconds time and
returns user to SET TIME screen. Press Back Arrow touch pad to discard change and return to SET
TIME screen.
• Press Back Arrow touch pad returns user to SOUND OPTIONS Main screen.
e. Pressing Forward Arrow touch pad displays SOUND OPTIONS Alarm Sound screen.
f. Pressing Back Arrow touch pad saves all changes and returns user to OPTIONS MENU screen.
Aborting Cycles
While running Sterilizer Cycles, it may be necessary to end (abort) cycle operation before scheduled completion because
of a Sterilization Unit malfunction, forgotten BI, wrong load, etc.
