2.2.10 Mail Administration
The mail report function is used to send an email to the system administrator when
the fault has occurred in the system. This section explains how to set up the XSCF
mail report function.
Note – You should set up the mail configuration so the designated users (platadm,
system administrators, and so on) can receive immediate notification of faults that
occur on the platform or domain.
TABLE 2-18 lists the settings and the corresponding shell commands.

Authentication

If you enable the Authentication, at the
same time, select the POP authentication
or the SMTP authentication. When you
enable the authentication, specify the
host name or IP address of the
authentication server, user ID, and
password.
setsmtp Default is disable
authentication.
Port number Sets the port number of the SMTP server. setsmtp The default port number of
the SMTP server is 25.
Reply address Sets the mail address to be specified in
the From: header of a mail message.
setsmtp To send an error mail when
there is a problem in the
path to the recipient
address from the mail
server, the mail address is
specified.
