FRONT AND REAR BRAKES 17-15
• Remove the dust boot 8 and snap ring 9.
09900-06108: Snap ring remover (Close type)
• Remove the washer 0 and piston/cup set A.
MASTER CYLINDER INSPECTION
• Inspect the cylinder bore A and piston B for scuffing, wear
and damage.
• Inspect the piston B and spring C for damage.
• If necessary, replace the defective parts with a new one.
MASTER CYLINDER CLEANING
• Flush the master cylinder ports with pressurized air.
• Wash the master cylinder bore and piston with fresh brake
fluid.
Specification and classification: DOT 4
NOTE:
Do not use gasoline or other cleaning solvents to wash the mas-
ter cylinder parts.
