9.3.2.2.1 User name
In the receiver’s default settings, the user profiles are named as Child 1, Child 2, Child 3
and Child 4. However, you can name the various profiles however you want. To do this,
proceed as described below.
> Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight the User name option.
> Press the OK button to open the virtual keyboard to enter the name you want.
9.3.2.2.2 Account activation
In this section you can activate and deactivate the selected user profile
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the Account option.
> Switch the children’s viewing time account on (Active) or off (Inactive) by pressing
the right/left arrow keys.
The settings for the PIN, and access and time restrictions can only be made if the
children’s viewing time account is active.
Please note that by activating a user profile the global parental control becomes the parents’
profile. Furthermore, user-specific parental control can only be used as long as the PIN
request mode for global parental control remains switched on.
9.3.2.2.3 PIN request mode
In this option you can decide whether the user is asked for a PIN number when logging on or
the receiver is switched on.
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight the PIN request mode option.
> Switch the PIN request on or off using the right/left arrow keys.
If you set the PIN request mode to on and have not yet changed the PIN for the relevant
user, you are now prompted to do so.
9.3.2.2.4 Changing the PIN
The receiver’s PIN code is set to 0000 by default. To change the receiver’s PIN code,
proceed as follows:
> Highlight the Change PIN option using the up/down arrow keys and confirm
with OK.
An input window now appears.
> Use the numeric keys to enter the previous receiver PIN code first.
The highlight then jumps to the Enter new PIN option.
> Now enter the new receiver PIN code here using the numeric keys.
The highlight now jumps to the Re-enter new PIN option.
> Use the numeric keys to re-enter the PIN code to confirm it.
Warning!
Ensure that you do not forget the receiver PIN code. If this happens, please consult
your retailer!
9.3.2.2.5 Access restrictions
After you have activated the user profile, you must select the channels, sources and functions
to be unblocked. When you first activate a user profile, all channels, sources and functions
are blocked automatically.
With user-specific parental control, blocked channels, sources and functions (i.e. that have
