SMS GATEWAY
CHAPTER 13
213
ECOTEL 3G 16.1. Revised: 1 March 2011.
If the ECOTEL rejects the SMS message, an e-mail reporting an aborted SMS message will be transmitted to the
sender and the attempt will be entered in the corresponding
failed.log file with the service indicator 0500.
Define the path to this log file in the
pabx.cfg.
If the mobile operator sends a delivery confirmation, a second e-mail is sent back to the original sender containing
the subject entry “delivery confirmed”.
Example: In the following e-mail to SMS example, an SMS message is sent to the mobile number
015553456789 via an ECOTEL with the IP address 172.100.101.102. The entry in the e-mail’s
To field looks as follows:
Example: In the following example, SMS message transmission to the number 01721111111 from the e-
mail account j.smith was successful. The
cdr.log contains the following entry:
Example: In the following example, SMS message transmission to the number 01721111111 from the e-
mail account j.smith was unsuccessful. The output -1 as cause value means that no routing entry
was configured. The
failed.log contains the following entry:
13.2 SMS TO E-MAIL
The SMS to e-mail function enables you to receive SMS messages via your ECOTEL with an ordinary e-mail client
.
The following configuration is done in the [Mail] section of the pabx.cfg file. For an explanation of the pa-
rameters, please see Chapter 5.2.2 on page 71 .
[Mail]
SmtpServer=<ip addr>
MailRcpt=<domain>
MailFrom=<domain>
The following configuration in the route.cfg is needed to send an incoming SMS message to an e-mail account.
The
Restrict entry must indicate an e-mail account containing the @ sign. If the e-mail account does not con-
tain a domain name, the domain that has been configured in
MailRcpt=<domain> is used.
Restrict<port>=@<addressee> 05 restricts by port or
Restrict<LAIN>=@<addressee> 05 restricts by LAIN
Restricting by LAIN requires that in the
pabx.cfg file the CHADDR parameter is added to the Subscriber
line, to change the controller definition to the SIM card’s LAIN.
Example: Here is an example of the
pabx.cfg entry:
