After the call has been successfully established and the announcement read out, the ECOTEL sends an e-mail back
to the original sender that contains the keyword play followed by the telephone number in the From field. The
entry “connected” appears in the Subject field.
If an error occurs, the entry “error” appears in the Subject field. Errors may occur when the called number is oc-
cupied. Bear in mind that the system will attempt to resend the message as often as is defined in the
MailToHostRetries parameter.
To distinguish between voice calls and announcement calls in the
CDR log, the keyword play appears in front of
the destination address in the CDRs.
13.5 SIP MESSAGE TO SMS
Your ECOTEL can convert SIP messages into SMS messages. A VoIP profile has to be configured in the
route.cfg file to accept the incoming SIP messages.

The SIP message structure is as follows:
The Request / To header or P-asserted / P-preferred header are not used for the destination number.
The Content-Type header is text/plain.
The Content-Disposition header is SMS.
All information for setting up the SMS message is transmitted in the SIP message body.
The destination number is entered in the body without a leading SMS keyword.
The second line is the Content-type which is “call back”.
The SIP message content is entered after the empty line in the message body. The SMS message has the
same look as the SIP message content.
The message content must not exceed 160 characters.
The SIP message is answered with 200ok, regardless of the SMS message transmission status or a delivery confir-
mation. There is no internal queuing of the messages possible if there are no channels available for sending this
SMS message.
