Setting the Instrument System Controls
Table 1 7 shows the options for each of the system control buttons at the top of the Tune
window.

Button Function Procedure
Power mode To set the instrument power mode
Click the icon for the applicable power mode.
The center of the selected icon changes from white to
green. See Setting the Instrument Power Mode.
Ion polarity mode
To set the ion polarity mode
Click Positive (Negative) and select the ion polarity
mode.
Data type
To set the data type
Click Centroid (Profile) and select the data type.
Spectrum scan
averaging
To turn the scan averaging on or off
Click the button to switch between on and off.
To set the scan averaging value
Click the down arrow to enter the value, and then
click Apply.
