DETECT-LINK-STATE COMMAND
You have to remember that, on some models, once configured, the Ethernet interface is always
available regardless of its operative status: the router always responds to possible requests arriving
on the IP address associated with the interface. In order to forbid these kinds of requests the
command is:
detect-link-state <interface-name>

The command applies to the eth0 interface for Imola LX models and to eth1 for all the others.
You don‟t need to use detect-link-state if you have a Lan Splitted configuration.
The command apply on eth0 for router Imola LX and on eth1 for the others routers. It is not
necessary to use in case of a Lan Splitted (see the specific chapter).
DISPLAYING INTERFACE STATUS
In order to display the configuration of an interface, the following CLI command is used:
ifconfig eth0
which shows:
 IP address
 Netmask
 Broadcast
 MAC address
 Static meters
In order to display the ARP table the command is:
show arp
In order to display IPv6 neighbour discovery protocol the command is:
show ipv6 neighbor
The command:
show ip interface brief
shows briefly the informations of all the network interfaces present.

In order to execute the command during the reboot of the router it is necessary to set the command set autocmd detect-link-state <ifname>
