FRAME RELAY INTERFACE
CONFIGURATION
Imola Frame Relay functionality is provided by an Infineon Serocco chipset. The external interface
has a V.35 serial port on an ISO DIN 2593 connector.
A maximum of 8 PVCs (Permanent Virtual Circuit) is supported.
Conformity to the following standards:
Frame-Relay: ITU-T X.36
Protocols PVC: ANSI T1 617 Annex D, ITU-T Q.933 Annex A (CCITT)
The Frame Relay link can be configured by using CLI commands.
The command
set frame-relay on
activates the Frame Relay interface.
The command
set frame-relay off
deactivates the Frame Relay interface.
The command
set no-frame-relay
deactivates the Frame Relay interface and disables the configuration.
Before the activation of the Frame Relay interface it is necessary to execute some configuration
operations.
In order to configure the station type the command is:
set frame-relay station dte|dce
the default value is dte.
In order to configure the speed the command is:
set frame-relay baud-rate <val>|external
the default value is external.
In order to configure the PVC management (LMI) protocol type the command is:
set frame-relay lmi-type ansi|ccitt|cisco|none
the default value is ansi.
In order to configure the single PVC the command is:
set frame-relay pvc pvcX ipaddr <ip-value> nexthop <ip-value>
set frame-relay pvc pvcX netmask <value>
set frame-relay pvc pvcX dlci <value>
