the value of N bytes represents the threshold value for input traffic.
set gprs traffic-control output-threshold <N>
The value of N bytes represents the threshold value output traffic.
set gprs traffic-control timer-unit <N>
The value of N seconds represents the frequency of the control.
set gprs traffic-control mode or|and
Defines if traffic control should be made in relation to input or output thresholds or both.
set gprs traffic-control prewait <N>
Represents a latency time (expressed in seconds) which is necessary before starting the traffic
control.
set gprs traffic-control on|off
Activates/deactivates the traffic control
The commands are usually used together with the command set trigger GPRS-tc. For example:
set gprs traffic-control input-threshold 10000
set gprs traffic-control output-threshold 20000
set gprs traffic-control mode or
set gprs traffic-control timer-unit 60
set trigger gprs-tc up logger -h 192.168.2.1 GPRS Traffic is too High
set trigger gprs-tc down logger -h 192.168.2.1 GPRS Traffic is at normal rate
set trigger gprs up set gprs traffic-control on
set trigger gprs down set gprs traffic-control off
Traffic control is activated at the same time of activation of the GPRS
session and it is deactivated when the session ends. A 10Kbyte threshold value
for input traffic and a 20Kbyte threshold value for output traffic must be
set. The control is made every 60 seconds.
If in 60 seconds either input or output traffic exceeds the threshold value the command specified
by the set GPRS-tc up trigger is executed. This command sends a log message to a specified
host. Otherwise, if in 60 seconds traffic is lower than the threshold values, the command specified
by the set trigger gprs-tc down trigger is executed.
GPRS SESSION CONTROL
Imola can be configured in order to control the GPRS session.
The rtr function regularly sends (every 15 seconds) ICMP requests (ping) towards a specified IP
address. By setting a rx-idle of 120 seconds, the GPRS session is re-activated when there is no
reply from the IP address.
Here follows an example:
set gprs idle 0
set gprs rx-idle 120
