set trigger dhcp down <action>
where <action> is any CLI command supported by Imola. The execution of the actions follows the
order previously defined. For example, using the commands:
set trigger dhcp up logger We got an address
set trigger dhcp up ip route add 131.151.10.12 via 10.10.254.254
set trigger dhcp down logger Ethernet is not ready
when an IP address is acquired a message is logged and a static route to a host is added. When the
address is released a further message is logged. Triggers may be deleted using the commands:
set no
-trigger dhcp up <action>
set no
-trigger dhcp down <action>
ETHERNET PORT MANAGEMENT: MII-TOOL/ETHTOOL
The mii-tool command checks or sets the status of the eth0 and eth1 Fast Ethernet interfaces
and of the 5 interfaces of the integrated switch (eth1, eth2, eth3, eth4 and eth5).
The command is mostly used for evaluation purposes.
By using the appropriate options, the functionalities offered by the command are:
auto negotiation restart
set the port speed at a specific value
execute the negotiation restart specifying the port speed
modification of crossover functionality of the switch ports
monitoring the port status
The operative modality of the command is:
mii
-tool [<option>] [<parameter>] <interface>
The options and accepted parameters are shown with:
mii-tool –help
The models that provide Gigabit Ethernet ports provide also the command ethtool, whose enabled
options are showrn with:
ethtool –help
Both commands can be used by SuperUser users; any changes applied to the ports configuration
will be lost at the next reboot.
