TSAT 3000 Configuration Parameter Description, January 2013 Page 54 of 124
3.7.4 GAIN_TX_DAC_{MIN | MAX}
MIN: Default 1000, Range 0…4095
MAX: Default 3000, Range 0…4095
Control the “Automatic Tx-Gain” and “End-to-End Tx-Gain” facilities.
Defines the minimum and maximum value of Tx-Gain DAC when one of these facilities are
enabled (
GAIN_TX_REF < 0.0 dBm (Ver >= 30.6.0) OR GAIN_TX_END2END_TARGET >= 6.0 dB).
Note: These MIBs are named
GAIN_TX_END2END_DAC_{MIN | MAX} in CCU Ver <= 30.4.1.
3.7.5 GAIN_RX_ATTENUATOR
Default –1.0, Range –2.0 + –1.0 + 0.0…40.0
Set Rx-Attenuator DAC value.
Value Description
–2.0 Don’t set Rx-Attenuator DAC. Keep value defined in “hw.conf”.
–1.0
Adjust Rx-Attenuator DAC, so that received Rx-RF-Level is measured to be 1.1 +/– 0.05 V.
The adjustment is done when CURRENT value is changed to –1.0, and the first
time:
• On HUB: When HUB is starting to search for own carrier.
• On RT: When HUB carrier is found.
The CCU will try to adjust Rx-Attenuator DAC maximum 10 times with 1 second intervals.
A
WARNING will be given if desired Rx-RF-Level (1.05 … 1.15 V) cannot be achieved.
The operator may read back the CURRENT Rx-Attenuator DAC setting – converted to
[dB]:
GAIN_RX_ATTENUATOR = INT( ( (4095 – DAC) x 40) / 40.95) / 100.0.
0.0 … 40.0
Set Rx-Attenuator DAC to a value so that desired attenuation [dB] is achieved.
Actual DAC value is given by: 4095 – INT(
GAIN_RX_ATTENUATOR x 4095.0 / 40.0 + 0.5)
