TSAT 3000 - Telemetry and data transfer via SATellite
TSAT 3000 Configuration Parameter Description, January 2013 Page 95 of 124
3.11.28 PHL_DELTA_SEARCH_FREQUENCY
Ver <= 30.5.0: Default 60, Range 10…1000
Ver >= 30.6.0: Default 0, Range 0 + 10…1000
Half the frequency search range, expressed in kHz.
The frequency search range should at least be some kHz larger than occupied bandwidth.
On an RT,
PHL_{OUTBOUND | INBOUND}_SYMBOLRATE x ( 1 + PHL_{OUTBOUND |
INBOUND}_FILTERALFA
) / 1000 will normally be a useable value.
Example: Symbol-Rate 64 kbps + Filter-Alfa 0.3 = 64 x 1.3 = 83 kHz.
Ver == 30.6.0 … 30.7.0
When parameter value is zero, the frequency search range will be calculated as shown by the
formula above.
Ver >= 30.8.0
When parameter value is zero, the frequency search range will be calculated as shown by the
formula above + 5 kHz. This could be necessary when TCXO calibration is out-of-range and
Symbol-Rate is very low (16 kbps).
