HUB Ver <= 30.4.0: Not Used.
HUB Ver >= 30.5.0:
MAC_SLOT_MAP_0 may be used by the “Slot Request and Resevation (SRR) Facility” as
described by
MAC_SLOT_REQ_RSV (when SRR_FIXED is enabled).
RT: Set the Access-Schemes that can be used on Inbound carrier. The RT has 4 Access-
Schemes. The HUB will select which of them to be used. This information is signalled from
HUB to RTs in all
SYNC packets. When NMS is connected, it will tell HUB which Access-
Scheme to be used. Normally, the following assignments are selected by NMS – See also
MAC_ACCESS_SCHEME.
MAP Description
MAP_0 Used for all kind of traffic.
MAP_1
Used when Inbound load is above
defined limit, and the Maximum Inbound Load
option in NMS ‘Network Behaviour’ window is enabled.
MAP_2
MAP_3
Not Used – In the future they may be used in Multi-Inbound-Link (MIL) networks.
Each Access-Scheme is an array of 1 …
MAC_TIMESLOTS_IN_FRAME bytes, where each
element represents the granted access to the corresponding Inbound slot. Following legal
values are:
