Note that if the patient is conscious and breathing rapidly, it may not be
possible to perform an end-expiratory hold maneuver. If the ventilator
senses a negative pressure excursion during the end-expiratory hold
maneuver that exceeds the current pressure trigger setting it will suspend
the end-expiratory hold maneuver and will deliver a breath.
F.3.2 Reviewing Static Mechanics and Intrinsic
PEEP Measurements
To view the results of the static mechanics measurements, including static
compliance, expiratory time constant and intrinsic PEEP measurements
you need to navigate to the “Show Mechanics” menu from the “Main”
menu button.
